For our headquarters in Munich we are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of Head of Global Employee Experience, Culture & Listening. The role will lead the global design and implementation of Daiichi Sankyo’s employee experience (EX), culture, and listening strategy, aligned with the Daiichi Sankyo People Philosophy.
Roles and Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive global EX, culture, and listening strategy aligned with the Total Rewards & Well-Being framework and company objectives. Provide strategic leadership and thought partnership to integrate employee experience into HR and organizational strategies. Collaborate with Regional EX, Culture, and Listening Leads to implement global frameworks, policies, standards, and priorities that support a diverse workforce. Partner with HR, legal, finance, and external vendors to ensure cohesive program planning, delivery, and compliance. Use data and analytics to measure and track employee engagement, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision‑making. Design and oversee end‑to‑end employee experience journeys from onboarding through offboarding, enhancing engagement and productivity. Lead employee listening initiatives—including surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms—to assess employee sentiment and drive continuous improvement. Shape and evolve organizational culture to align with Daiichi Sankyo’s values, mission, and goals; provide leaders with tools and training to reinforce culture. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure Daiichi Sankyo’s EX, culture, and listening programs remain best‑in‑class. Ensure all programs comply with local, regional, and global regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop the Global EX, Culture & Listening team, managing resources, budget, and performance. Personal Skills and Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in employee experience, culture, or related fields. At least 4 years of experience in employee listening, with a strong understanding of EX and listening technologies and processes. Experience managing complex global projects and multicultural teams preferred. Proven ability to develop and implement EX, culture, and listening strategies and programs. Familiarity with pharma and biotech industries is advantageous. Strong data analytics skills to monitor and predict EX and culture needs. Strategic Leadership
As a member of the Talent, Performance and Development Leadership Team, contribute to the development of the Talent, Performance and Development strategy, policies and processes and define the strategic workforce planning strategy that underpins thisProvide guidance and direction to Strategic Workforce Planning team, managing escalations and driving consistency across programs and regionsLead Global Strategic Workforce Planning team members, supporting them in achieving their goals, creating a positive work environment, encouraging motivation and performance, developing their skills and managing conflictAllocate and manage the budget and human resources in the Global Strategic Workforce Planning teamEnsure that DS’ strategic workforce planning processes support the company’s commitment to inclusion and diversity
Implementation and Development
Establish a global framework for strategic workforce planning and oversee activation and adoptionDevelop and execute strategic workforce planning initiatives to align talent strategies with business needs, R&D pipeline demands, and regulatory changesSupport organizational design initiatives that foster agility, innovation, and a future-ready workforce
Analytics and Technology
Utilize workforce analytics, predictive modeling, and talent insights to assess workforce supply and demand, skills gaps, and determine key SWP actionsDevelop KPIs and other metrics to evaluate the impact of programs and direct periodic analysis to identify opportunities for improvementsFacilitate periodic benchmarking and market-related research on strategic workforce planning methodologies and determine necessary policy/program changes to continuously enhance DS’ offeringsDrive the adoption of HR technologies and automation to enhance workforce planning and operational efficiency, including collaborating withHuman Resource Information System (HRIS) team to define/implement program functionality requirements for global HRIS
Stakeholder Management
Partner with HR, Finance, and business unit leaders to integrate workforce planning into broader business and financial strategies and assess/determine strategic workforce planning needs in DSCollaborate with the Talent Management team and HRBPs to ensure that strategic workforce planning tools and processes effectively address skill and capability gaps and support DS’ long-term talent strategy, including upskilling, reskilling, and career mobility programsPartner with Workforce Analytics and Employee Insights Teams to ensure right talent and workforce related insights are being prioritized and addressedManage relationships with external vendors/partners that support the delivery of programs and maintain global preferred supplier listsEducate business leadership on DS‘ strategic workforce planning capabilities and advantages of adopting these practices into their Unit’s long-term planningHelp build capability of other HR team members to use Strategic workforce planning tools25% travel is expected, but actual amounts can vary depending on business priorities
Personal skills and professional experience:
