    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy

    Understand Standard Chartered’s business strategy, how it applies to Standard Chartered Bank AG and the consequences of regulation on capital demand and forecasting.

    Business

    Work with the business to optimise legal entity capital demand.

    Processes

    Contribute to the forecasting process for capital and leverage, be responsible for maintenance of capital obligations register, internal governance around dividends and capital issuance. Assist the recovery planning team on the capital related recovery indicators and impacts.

    Risk Management

    Understand regulatory change and the impact this can have on SCB AG’s capital position and appropriately manage the risks around such changes.

    Governance

    Fulfill all governance requirements relating to Capital management, working with stress testing, regulatory reporting and economic capital teams to understand and forecast capital demand.

    Regulatory & Business Conduct

    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

    Skills And Experience

    10+ years of experience in treasury, capital management within a banking;Proven track record in capital planning and optimization, in regulatory capital management.Knowledge of bank regulations, regulatory reportingStrategic mindset, stakeholders management skills (including board-level and regulatory engagement)Knowledge of OLAP-based systems

    Qualifications

    Certifications Holder of one or more of Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certificate in Bank Asset-Liability Management

    Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Business Manager to join our Banking COO team. The role will work closely with Global Banking and S&FR Heads, group Banking COOs, Business Risk Managers (BRM) and function stakeholders. Responsibilities include business enablement and management, partnering Markets COO with local business risk governance, conduct and supervision, including regulatory implementation, and private side floor management.

    Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact within Banking COO for senior Global Banking and S&FR leadership in AG and across the region. Drive execution of the Banking agenda locally and regionally, including preparation for management board meetings, strategy papers, and business presentations. Partner with local support functions and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and implement best practices. Enable business growth through effective cost management, change management, and the roll-out of new Banking products and services (e.g., CRD VI 21c). Identify and deliver process improvement and re-engineering opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor, assess, and manage regulatory changes impacting business processes and infrastructure. Ensure robust operational risk management, including execution of controls, monitoring, reporting, and escalation as needed. Oversee governance practices, conduct supervision, and product governance matters, including in-country audits and addendum approvals. Support capacity planning, business continuity, access controls, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Qualifications / Skills Proven experience in business management, operations, or COO functions within the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the context of Global Banking and S&FR. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated experience in driving business initiatives, process optimisation, change management, and governance implementation. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, propose solutions, and drive strategic initiatives. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of CRD VI 21c and regional regulatory requirements is advantageous.     Responsibilities

    Be the subject matter expert for Liquidity and IRRBB within SCB AG Treasury. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with German and European liquidity and IRRBB regulations, ensuring all obligations are understood and documenting how we comply with them and supporting the Regulatory Reporting team as they implement the regulations in reporting systems. This includes ownership of AG Treasury’s liquidity and IRRBB Standards.
    You will be the lead SME for SCB AG’s use of central bank facilities for non-marketable collateral, owning processes to assess eligibility and post with central banks across Europe.
    You will be expected to have an expert level of knowledge of German and European liquidity and IRRBB requirements and how these interact with forecasting and business optimisation. You will own SCB AG’s Funds Transfer Pricing methodology, supporting sustainable business growth and advising ALCO on setting the rates of FTP components. You will also contribute to the ILAAP and work with Treasury Risk on liquidity stress testing.
    You will support the new product approval process, ensuring that risks on new products are appropriately captured within reporting systems and covered within Standards.

    Skills and Experience

    Expert level of knowledge of German and European liquidity and IRRBB requirements;
    10+ years of experience in Treasury, ALM (Asset-Liability Management), Liquidity Risk, and IRRBB, ideally within a bank or large financial institution.
    In-depth knowledge of Basel III/IV, ECB requirements, MaRisk, and German as well as international liquidity and IRRBB regulatory standards.
    Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in liquidity management, IRRBB, and Recovery Plan processes.
    Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with regulators, boards, and senior management.
    Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, ACT, or CertBALM are highly advantageous.

    • You will support the new product approval process, ensuring that risks on new products are appropriately captured within reporting systems and covered within Standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategy
    • Understand Standard Chartered’s business strategy, how it applies to Standard Chartered Bank AG and the consequences of regulation on liquidity and funding including forecasting.

    Business
    • Work with the business to optimise liquidity and funding.

    Processes
    • Contribute to the forecasting process for liquidity and funding, be responsible for maintenance of liquidity and IRRBB obligations registers. Assist the recovery planning team on the liquidity and funding related recovery indicators and impacts.

    • Support process improvements that Simplify, Standardise and Digitise.

    Risk Management
    • Understand regulatory change and the impact this can have on SCB AG’s liquidity (including intraday liquidiy) and funding position and appropriately manage the risks around such changes.

    Governance
    • Fulfil all governance requirements relating to liquidity and IRRBB management, working with stress testing, regulatory reporting.

    Regulatory & Business Conduct
    • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

    Skills and ExperienceExpert level of knowledge of German and European liquidity and IRRBB requirements;10+ years of experience in Treasury, ALM (Asset–Liability Management), Liquidity Risk, and IRRBB, ideally within a bank or large financial institution.In-depth knowledge of Basel III/IV, ECB requirements, MaRisk, and German as well as international liquidity and IRRBB regulatory standards.Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in liquidity management, IRRBB, and Recovery Plan processes.Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with regulators, boards, and senior management.Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, ACT, or CertBALM are highly advantageous.Qualifications

    Certifications Holder of one or more of Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certificate in Bank Asset-Liability Management
